Marvel at the enduring imprint of the Moors on monuments, gardens, cuisine, architecture, and art. Appreciate Andalucian ceramic art, tiles and pottery.
2020 Itinerary to be announced
Day 01/Nov 05, 2018: Arrive in Seville, welcoming dinner.
Day 02: Guided visit to the Archeological Museum and the Mudejar Pavillion. Introduction to the Andalucian history and art styles. Visit to the Cathedral and the Giralda minaret/bell tower.
Day 03: Guided visits to the Triana Ceramics Museum and workshops. Free afternoon; optional visits to the Museum of Fine Art or the Pilatos mansion.
Day 04: Guided visit to the royal Alcazar de Sevilla palace and its ceramic collection. Free time in the palace gardens. Walk through the historic Barrio de Santa Cruz and enjoy an aperitif at a historic bar.
Day 05: Depart for Cordoba. First explorations of the historic town and the Roman bridge.
Day 06: Guided visit to the Mezquita, focusing on Islamic, Catholic and Visigothic art. Free afternoon; optional visits to the Alcazar and its gardens or the Marques de Viana mansion.
Day 07: Guided visits to the Archeological Museum and to sights at the Juderia, such as the Sinagogue, Capilla Mudejar, Iglesia de San Bartolome, Casa Andalusi and the many patios.
Day 08: Depart for Ubeda. Guided walk on Plaza Vazquez de Molina focusing on Renaissance architecture and the work of the architect Andres de Vandelvira.
Day 09: Visit to Tito’s ceramic workshop with demos. Guided walk through the Juderia focusing on Jewish history and culture. Visit to the Sinagoga del Agua and private houses.
Day 10: Visit to ceramic workshops. Olive tour with tasting. Free afternoon; optional visits to the Renaissance churches of Ubeda and scenic walks around Ubeda.
Day 11: Depart for Granada. Guided walk in the historic Albaicin neighbourhood. Enjoy an aperitif and the sunset views of the Alhambra.
Day 12: Full day guided visit to the Alhambra Museum: Nasrid Palace, Ceramics Collection, Museum of Fine Arts and the Generalife Gardens.
Day 13: Guided visit to sights in the Centro of Granada: Bib-Rambla square, the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel. Optional night visit to the Alhambra.
Day 14: Walk to the Sacromonte neighbourhood. Visit the Cave Museum and enjoy the natural environment. Free afternoon; optional relaxation at a Moorish bath.
Day 15: Depart for Malaga. First explorations in Malaga.
Day 16: Day trip to Ronda.
Day 17: Visits to the Picasso Museum and Picasso’s birth house. Roman theatre and Alcazar. Free time. Group dinner.
Day 18/Nov 22: Individual departures.

The excursion starts in Sevilla at 7 pm on the evening of March 16, 2020 in the lobby of our hotel, and ends in Malaga at our hotel after breakfast on March 31, 2020.

• 30% of trip cost
• 50% of trip cost
• 75% of trip cost
• No refund
There is no refund for arriving late or leaving the trip early.
Discovery Art Travel reserves the right to cancel the trip due to low enrolment, or if we feel that the quality of the trip or the safety of travelers would be compromised. In such a case, we will refund all payments received to date, which constitutes full settlement.
